Description
The VEML6075 senses UVA and UVB light and incorporates photodiode, amplifiers, and analog / digital circuits into a single chip.
The UV sensor is able to detect UVA and UVB intensity to provide a measure of the UV Index measurement.
The VEML6075 provides excellent temperature compensation capability for keeping the output stable under changing temperature.
The Sensor when installed in a protective case such as the Cube Cell Capsule, can be adjusted in software to compensate for the reduced reading in the measured values, due to the protective cover.
The sensor has a peak sensitivity at 355 nm with two separate detectors of the UV Spectrum and can output results for :
- UVA -> 315-400nm – (µW/cm2)
- UVB -> 280-315nm – (µW/cm2)
- UV Index 0-12
